This website is provided and managed by Pigmalion Environmental Services Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Pigmalion” or “we”).

Pigmalion recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of financial and other personal information. We have instituted reasonable policies and security measures to protect the information you provide to us. When you register online with Pigmalion, use our online store, or choose to fill out and submit one of our customer information cards when visiting a Pigmalion store, you give us your consent to process and use such submitted personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information collected, maintained or used by Pigmalion in Canada.

What is Personal Information?

Personal information is any information that can be used to identify you as an individual, including your name, age, personal telephone number, address, credit card details, email address, and any other personally identifiable information that you choose to provide to Pigmalion. Personal information does not include so-called “business card information” such as your business telephone number and address in your capacity as an employee of an organization.

What Information Pigmalion Collects

Pigmalion collects personal information from visitors to the website who register their information or who use the online store. We also use cookies and track IP addresses (as described below) so that we can improve our services and enhance your Pigmalion experience. In addition, Pigmalion collects some personal information (e.g., name, address, telephone number(s), credit card information, email address, etc.) from our customers who submit a customer information card at one of our stores, including from our affiliated companies.

How Pigmalion Uses Information You Provide

Personal information collected by Pigmalion will only be used or disclosed for purposes described in this Privacy Policy or for other purposes that we have informed you of at the time of collecting that information.  Before your personal information will be used or disclosed for a new purpose, we will ask you for your consent, unless use or disclosure without your consent in the circumstances is otherwise permitted or required by law, regulation or court order.

With your consent, Pigmalion will use your contact information to keep you informed of our special events or promotions, to register you with our website, to administer our website services, and/or to process any orders you may place online. If you give us your personal information at one of our stores or online, you will be given the opportunity to choose whether or not you wish to receive our promotional mailings. Otherwise, we may use the information you provide to us only to review our performance and to improve our services to you, or to communicate with you about your order.

We will send you announcements or communications by email only if you give us your permission to do so by either giving the appropriate consent on our web site or by submitting your email address on a customer information card. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting customer service at the contact information below in this Privacy Policy.

Does Pigmalion Share Your Information With Others?

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, Pigmalion does not sell, rent or disclose our clients’ names, addresses, email addresses or other personal information to any entity. Pigmalion may share customer personal information within the Pigmalion Group, to manage customer relationships, such as managing your information-handling preferences and to inform you of other products that may be of interest to you, or with third party service providers, including Pigmalion Group entities or third party service providers outside of Canada, including the United States, in which case it will be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including laws regarding disclosure of personal information to the authorities.

Further, in order to maintain our website, to manage our database, to distribute e-mails and to provide client communications, Pigmalion contracts with selected third party service providers. As necessary, the personal information you provide to us may be processed by these third parties, solely on Pigmalion’s behalf, but we do not authorize any of these service providers to make any other use of your personal information.  We do not otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties, unless we are permitted or required to do so by law or in connection with a legal claim or proceeding. If Pigmalion is acquired by another entity or is merged or consolidated, personal information about Pigmalion customers may be made available to the new entity. However, Pigmalion will require that new entity agrees to protect your personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Pigmalion uses appropriate security measures to protect the personal information you provide to us. However, while we take reasonable steps to protect this personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure, you accept that no Internet data transmission can be guaranteed to be secure from access by unintended recipients and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security unless this breach is due to our negligence.

Access and Correction

You are entitled to request access to and correction of all personal information you provide us by contacting us at the email or mailing address listed below.  Please note that under certain circumstances, you may not be permitted to access your records, such as where Pigmalion is prohibited by law to disclose that to you if the disclosure of your records would cause security, legal or confidentiality concerns.

About Cookies and IP Addresses

Cookies are pieces of information a web site can send to your computer's browser for record-keeping purposes. We will post the updated policy on our website, and thus we encourage you to review this page from time to time, particularly each time you use our online shop. Your continued use of the Pigmalion website will constitute your agreement to these revised terms.

Refusal and Withdrawal of Consent

You may refuse to provide personal information and may, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, withdraw consent at any time to the continued use and disclosure of personal information previously collected. Please note that refusing or withdrawing your consent in respect of our handling of certain personal information may result in us being unable to provide you with certain Pigmalion products and services.

You may remove your name from Pigmalion’s marketing list at any time by contacting us at the email or mailing address listed below.
